Hi guys! Welcome back! Today we're going to be taking a trip to the Flushing Bay Promenade! If you're ever in East Elmhurst, it's a great place to take a walk. or hang out with friends. It's one of the smaller NYC Parks, stretching to about 1.5 miles starting from the base of the 27th Avenue overpass
Walking over the bridge, you can see all the cars on the overpass.
It is pretty close to Laguardia airport, so you can see the airplanes take off, which is a nice view.
It has water fountains located all over the promenade just in case you get thirsty and there are benches if you want to sit down and just look at the view. Within the promenade are the World's Fair Marina and the World's Fair Marina Restaurant and Banquet. During the summertime, the fountain by the World's Fair Marina Restaurant is running. You get to see the Flushing Bay and the ships in the water and there's a Dunkin Donuts there if you get hungry.
Attached below is a short video of me describing the promenade.
This is a great way to be active and be near the water in the city since we don't get to spend as much time on the water as other people. Be sure to come by for a walk with friends, by yourself or even just spend the day reading a book outdoors instead of being stuck inside on your electronic devices. It is easily acessible using your student metrocard by going on the Q33 bus.
